about
Sea Song is taken from Pozi's forthcoming Typing EP, out via PRAH Recordings on 29th October.
Sea Song came together during the band’s first week together out of the summer lockdown. Jones created a bassline with the aim to produce a sound that was frantic yet calming. The more meditative structure of the song and repetitive but slowly evolving nature of the lyrics reflects the patterns we see in nature, life cycles, human relationships and, also importantly, in pandemics. The song's subject matter, the sea, can be menacing, dark and unknown but can also bring about a huge feeling of freedom and abandon, which is comparable to the immense chasm of this recent global experience.
Across their second full-length, the London post-punks offer up thrumming motoriks, industrial tones, and sullen sing-a-longs in abundance. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 17, 2024
The Minneapolis band add a horn section, a running surrealist allegory about walls, and an occasional nod to the elegiac to their electroshocked post-punk. Bandcamp Album of the Day Mar 4, 2024
GLAAS follow up their killer debut LP from 2022 with this snappy EP, which puts some hip action into their claustrophobic post-punk sound. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 18, 2023
